My Monstera finally gave me a fenestrated leaf after months of slow growth, and I have to say it was worth the wait. I think the key for me was stopping fussing with it so much and just letting it sit by my east-facing window without moving it around. I used to rotate it constantly thinking that would help, but honestly I think the plant just wanted to settle in one spot and build confidence. Now I'm resisting the urge to move it again even though I'm tempted.
