My Monstera finally gave me a fenestrated leaf after two years of waiting, and I'm honestly more excited than I should be. I learned the hard way that mine wasn't splitting because it wasn't getting enough indirect light near my window. Once I moved it a few feet closer, the new growth came in with those beautiful holes. If yours is refusing to fenestrate, don't assume it's too young—check your light situation first.
