My Monstera finally split a leaf after two years—turns out it just needed more light

My Monstera finally split a leaf after two years—turns out it just needed more light. I'd been coddling it in medium brightness, but once I moved it closer to the window, the new growth came in with proper fenestration. Still only four plants in my collection, so each one gets proper attention. Has anyone else found their Monstera reluctant to develop holes, or was mine just being stubborn?
