My Monstera's finally putting out fenestrated leaves after two years of just solid ones

My Monstera's finally putting out fenestrated leaves after two years of just solid ones. I think the turning point was moving it closer to the window—not too close, just enough indirect light. The growth rate picked up noticeably after that. I'm curious though, has anyone else found their plant stayed juvenile longer than expected? Mine sat in the corner of my living room for ages before I realized it just needed better light. Worth the experiment.
