My peace lily has been a lesson in listening to what the plant tells you rather than sticking to a schedule. I was watering on autopilot until it started drooping dramatically, and I realized the soil was staying wet for days in my dry climate. Now I let it go almost bone-dry between waterings and it's genuinely thriving. Turns out "low maintenance" doesn't mean hands-off if your air is arid like mine.
