My peace lily has been in the same spot for two years and honestly I kept waiting for it to fail, but it's honestly thriving. I think the trick for me was stopping fussing with it. I used to move it around chasing the perfect light, but once I settled it in bright indirect light near my bedroom window, it just... stayed happy. The droopy thing everyone warns about hasn't happened once.
