My peace lily has been in the same spot for two years now, and honestly it's thriving with minimal fussing. I water it when the soil feels dry and it gets indirect light from a north-facing window. The only thing I learned the hard way was moving it around too much—it sulked for weeks. Now I just leave it alone and let it droop slightly when it needs water. Works perfectly in my mediterranean apartment where it's mostly cool and humid.
