My peace lily has been with me for almost two years now, and I finally figured out why it kept drooping even when the soil seemed moist. Turns out it was actually rootbound and thirsty beneath the surface. After repotting it into something slightly larger, it perked right up within days. I wish I'd checked the roots sooner instead of second-guessing my watering. Now I make it a point to peek at the roots every spring.
