My pothos finally grew a leaf the size of my hand after two years of barely moving

My pothos finally grew a leaf the size of my hand after two years of barely moving. Turns out it wasn't the light—I'd been watering it too often in our dry climate. Once I let the soil dry out completely between waterings, it took off. Now I'm wondering if I've been babying all my plants too much. Has anyone else found that less water actually works better in an arid place?
