My pothos finally started putting out new leaves after I moved it closer to the window—I think it was just too dark where it was

My pothos finally started putting out new leaves after I moved it closer to the window—I think it was just too dark where it was. I've got it in a pot without drainage holes though and I'm second-guessing that decision now. Should I repot it, or does anyone else grow theirs this way? I'm in a mediterranean climate so things dry out pretty fast anyway, which I figure helps. Would love to see how others keep theirs.
