My pothos finally started trailing after months of just sitting there

My pothos finally started trailing after months of just sitting there. Turns out it hated the bright south window I put it in—moved it to a shelf with indirect light and it took off. I'm in an arid climate so I was also overwatering like crazy. Now I barely touch it and it's honestly my lowest-maintenance plant. Anyone else find theirs was just unhappy in the wrong spot?
