My pothos has been sitting in the same spot for months and I finally moved it closer to the window last week

My pothos has been sitting in the same spot for months and I finally moved it closer to the window last week. The difference is crazy—new leaves are already bigger and the stems are growing faster. I was worried about direct sun frying it, but I think I was being too cautious. Has anyone else found their pothos was just thirsty for more light? Mine's in a pretty bright spot now and I'm actually pleased with how it's responding.
