My pothos has been trailing for years now and honestly I don't think I've ever fed it properly

My pothos has been trailing for years now and honestly I don't think I've ever fed it properly. I just water when the soil dries out and let it climb the shelf. It's thriving, which makes me wonder if I'm overcomplicating things for my other plants. Has anyone else found pothos basically grows fine on neglect, or am I just getting lucky with mine?
