My pothos has finally started trailing after months of just sitting there looking stubborn

My pothos has finally started trailing after months of just sitting there looking stubborn. I think the turning point was moving it away from the window and giving it some indirect light instead—who knew it was getting too much sun? Now I'm wondering if I should let it keep climbing the shelf or encourage it to cascade. Does anyone else struggle with patience when plants take their sweet time adjusting to a new spot?
