My ZZ plant has been sitting in the same corner for two years and honestly, I forget it exists half the time. Which is exactly why it's thriving—I barely water it and it gets indirect light from across the room. I think people stress too much about these things. Mine's grown three new stems this year just from pure neglect. If you kill a ZZ, you're probably trying too hard.
