My ZZ plant has finally convinced me that neglect is sometimes a feature, not a bug

My ZZ plant has finally convinced me that neglect is sometimes a feature, not a bug. I've had mine for years now, and I keep waiting for it to punish me for forgetting to water it for weeks—but nope, it just sits there looking impossibly glossy and thriving. I think the secret is my mediterranean climate and honestly just accepting that it prefers being dry. Anyone else have one that makes them look like a better plant parent than they actually are?
