My ZZ plant has finally stopped being so dramatic about water

My ZZ plant has finally stopped being so dramatic about water. I was convinced I was killing it for the longest time, but I learned the hard way that it genuinely prefers to dry out between waterings. Now I check the soil maybe once a month and only water if it's bone dry, and honestly, it's thriving. If you're struggling with one, that's probably the culprit. They're tougher than they look.
