Notes on my Fiddle Leaf Fig

I've had my Ficus lyrata for three years now, and I finally figured out why the lower leaves kept dropping—it wasn't underwatering like I assumed, but inconsistent light and drafts from a nearby vent. Since I moved it away and settled on a weekly watering schedule, the new growth has been impressive. Has anyone else struggled with leaf drop on theirs? I'm curious if it's as common a problem as I thought.
