Notes on my Fiddle Leaf Fig

Just hit six months with my Ficus lyrata and it's finally putting out a new leaf—honestly thought I'd killed it after that first brown spot scare. I'm still figuring out the watering rhythm in my tropical climate; I've got nine plants now and the fig seems pickier than the rest. Does anyone else find these things temperamental about light placement, or am I just overthinking it? Would love to compare notes if you've had better luck.
