Notes on my Fiddle Leaf Fig

My Ficus lyrata finally dropped its drama and put out three new leaves this month—I think the key was moving it away from the south-facing window where it was getting scorched in summer. I'm in a mediterranean climate, so the heat can be brutal even for a tropical plant. Has anyone else found that these figs are more finicky about afternoon sun than people suggest? Mine seems way happier with bright, indirect light now.
