Notes on my Fiddle Leaf Fig
Zayn·20 August 2026Community
I've had my Ficus lyrata for about eight months now, and I'm finally seeing consistent new growth after moving it away from the south-facing window. Everyone says these need bright light, but in my arid climate the afternoon sun was just scorching the leaves. Now it's thriving in an east-facing spot where it catches morning rays without the intensity. Has anyone else found that the standard advice doesn't quite translate to drier climates?
