Notes on my Pothos

I've had my Epipremnum aureum cutting in water for nearly two months now, and I'm honestly surprised at how slowly the roots are developing compared to what most guides claim. Mine's in a bright indirect spot in my arid home, so I wonder if the low humidity is slowing things down. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just impatient? Thinking of moving it to a humidity tray to test whether that speeds things along.
