Notes on my Pothos

I've had my Epipremnum aureum trailing across a shelf for two years now, and I'm only just realizing how much slower it grows in my arid climate than most guides suggest. The heat and low humidity seem to stall it compared to what I read online. I'm experimenting with grouping it near my other plants to create a slightly more humid microclimate. Has anyone else found pothos less vigorous in dry conditions, or am I just impatient?
