Notes on my Pothos

I've had my Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) for about eight months now and it's finally trailing nicely, but I'm realizing I might've been overwatering it for the first few months. The leaves seemed fine, so I didn't notice anything was wrong until growth actually picked up once I backed off. Now I'm wondering if I was just lucky or if Pothos is more forgiving than I thought? I'm in a cold climate so moisture stays around longer anyway.
