Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my Sansevieria trifasciata for three years now and it's finally putting out a second flowering spike—the first time I've seen flowers on mine. They're delicate, cream-colored, and smell faintly sweet at night, which I wasn't expecting at all. I think the key was finally giving it a proper winter rest in a cooler corner of my living room. Has anyone else had success getting theirs to bloom, or am I just lucky?
