Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and I'm still not totally sure about watering—sometimes I go weeks without checking the soil and it seems fine, other times I wonder if I'm underwatering it. The leaves look healthy and upright, which I think is a good sign? Does anyone else find Sansevieria trifasciata weirdly low-maintenance or am I just lucky? I'd love to hear how often you all water yours, especially since I'm still learning what "let the soil dry out completely" really means in practice.
