Notes on my Snake Plant

I finally figured out why my snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) was slowly yellowing at the base—I was watering it way too often, even though I thought I was being careful. Since I live somewhere cold and my apartment doesn't get much natural light in winter, the soil stays damp for ages. Switched to watering maybe once every 4–5 weeks and it's already looking better. Has anyone else struggled with overwatering these, or is it just me being overly cautious?
