Notes on my Snake Plant

I finally figured out why my snake plant was getting mushy—I was watering it way too often because I thought brown leaf tips meant it was thirsty. Turns out Sansevieria trifasciata actually prefers to dry out almost completely between waterings, especially in winter. I've backed off to once a month and it's looking so much better now. Anyone else struggle with overwatering these guys before you realize how truly drought-tolerant they are?
