Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and I'm still not 100% sure I'm watering it right—I've been doing it maybe once every three weeks, and the soil stays pretty dry. It seems happy enough, no mushy leaves or anything, but I worry I'm underwatering sometimes. Does anyone else find Sansevieria trifasciata super forgiving? Mine's actually my easiest plant to keep alive, which is kind of embarrassing to admit since I have four total and I struggle way more with my pothos!
