Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and I'm still not sure if I'm watering it right—I keep second-guessing myself because the soil looks dry but then I worry I'm overdoing it. It seems happy enough (no mushy stems yet!), but I'd love to hear how often other people water theirs. Mine's in a corner with indirect light, and honestly it's been the easiest of my four plants so far. Does anyone else find themselves overthinking the simple ones?
