Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my snake plant for about two years now and it's been the easiest thing in my collection, but I'm second-guessing myself on watering. I let the soil dry out completely between drinks, which seems to work, but I'm wondering if I'm being too cautious. Has anyone else struggled with overwatering these, or am I just being paranoid? It's honestly so rewarding to have one plant that doesn't demand much attention.
