Notes on my Snake Plant

I've had my Sansevieria trifasciata for three years now and honestly only watered it maybe twice last winter—totally forgot about it during a busy spell. Thing looked exactly the same when I remembered, which I guess is the whole point, but it made me realize I've been watering it way more than it actually needs. Has anyone else found their snake plant thrives on pure neglect? I'm curious if I'm just lucky or if I've finally cracked the code on not fussing too much.
