Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for about two years now, and I'm finally seeing fenestration on the newer leaves—those characteristic holes that make this species so striking. What surprised me is how much it depends on light intensity; my earlier growth was mostly solid leaves. I'm keeping it in bright, indirect light from an east-facing window, and the difference is remarkable. Has anyone else noticed their Monstera's fenestration changes with light conditions, or am I just now giving it what it actually needed?
