Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for about two years now, and I'm finally seeing those characteristic fenestrations on the newer leaves—it's been worth the wait. The key for me was patience with watering; I used to overdo it, but once I let the soil dry out more between waterings, the growth really accelerated. I'm curious whether anyone else has noticed their Monstera being slow to develop fenestrations, or if mine was just adjusting to my tropical home setup?
