Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

My Monstera deliciosa has finally started fenestrating after two years of just putting out solid leaves, and I'm honestly more excited than I probably should be! I think the turning point was moving her closer to the east-facing window instead of that bright but indirect spot. Has anyone else found they need *more* direct light than the usual advice suggests to trigger fenestration, or was I just impatient?
