Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

My Monstera deliciosa finally fenestrated after two years of patient neglect—turns out it didn't need the fancy grow light I was convinced would help. I've learned the hard way that this species really just wants bright, indirect light and patience. The split leaves started appearing once I stopped fussing and let it do its thing in a west-facing corner. Anyone else find their Monstera took forever to show those characteristic holes, or did mine just need extra convincing?
