Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for two years now and it's finally starting to produce those characteristic fenestrations on the newer leaves. I kept it in moderate indirect light initially, but I've noticed the leaf splits appear more readily now that it's closer to an east-facing window. The growth is noticeably faster too. I'm curious whether other people have found that light intensity really does correlate with fenestration development, or if it's purely a maturity thing for the plant?
