Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I finally figured out why my Monstera deliciosa has been so reluctant with the fenestration—apparently mine has been getting less light than I thought. I moved it closer to an east-facing window last month and the new leaves are already starting to show those gorgeous holes. Still learning, but I'm pretty happy about it! Has anyone else struggled with theirs taking forever to develop the characteristic splits, or is it just me being impatient?
