Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for three years now, and I'm finally getting those characteristic fenestrations on the newer leaves—which honestly took longer than I expected. I think the turning point was moving it slightly closer to the east-facing window and being more patient with watering. Mine's grown about two feet since I got it, and I'm genuinely curious whether anyone else has noticed their Monstera takes a while to develop those split leaves, or if mine was just being stubborn.
