Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for about eight months now, and I'm still figuring out the watering situation—I keep second-guessing myself on whether the soil is actually dry enough. The fenestration is finally starting to show up on the new leaves, which feels like a tiny victory! Has anyone else struggled with overwatering theirs? I'm worried I might be doing it too often, but the plant seems pretty forgiving so far.
