Notes on my Swiss Cheese Plant

I've had my Monstera deliciosa for three years now and only just figured out why the fenestration was so inconsistent—light quality matters way more than I gave it credit for. Mine sits near an east-facing window with bright, filtered light, and the new leaves are finally showing those characteristic splits. I spent ages thinking it was a maturity thing alone, but honestly, once I stopped rotating it so much and let it settle in one spot, the whole plant seemed to relax. Anyone else notice their specimens prefer staying put?
