Notes on my ZZ Plant
MajaPlants·25 June 2026Community
I've had my ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) for three years now, and I finally figured out why the lower leaflets were yellowing—I was watering it on a schedule instead of checking the soil. These plants honestly prefer neglect in an arid climate like mine. Now I let it dry out completely between waterings, and it's thriving. The new growth coming in is so glossy and full. If you've got one struggling, resist the urge to fuss with it.
