Notes on my ZZ Plant

I finally figured out why my ZZ (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) stalled for two years—I was watering it on a schedule instead of waiting for the soil to dry completely. In my arid climate, that meant letting it go nearly three weeks between waterings. Once I switched to that rhythm, it put out three new fronds in the past month. The plant is practically indestructible if you respect its rhizomes' need for dryness. Anyone else find ZZ plants actually demand *less* attention than people claim?
