Notes on my ZZ Plant

Got my ZZ plant three years ago thinking it'd be bulletproof, and honestly it mostly is, but I learned the hard way that "drought tolerant" doesn't mean "ignore it forever." Mine got leggy and sad when I went full hands-off. Now I water it every month or so even when the soil looks dry, and it's actually put out new growth. Arid climate here means it dries fast anyway. Still the easiest thing I own, but a little attention goes further than I expected.
