Notes on my ZZ Plant

I've had my ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) for three years now, and I finally understand why people call it indestructible—but I almost killed mine twice with kindness. Turns out the rhizome rots if you water it like a tropical houseplant in the Arizona heat. Once I switched to watering maybe every three weeks and let the pot dry out completely, it's been unstoppable. The leaflets are glossier than they've ever been. Anyone else overwater theirs at first?
