So I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it needs from me

So I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it needs from me! I honestly forgot to water it for like three weeks and it didn't even complain. Has anyone else noticed theirs gets this weird smell if you overwater it? Mine did once and I panicked, but after I let the soil dry out completely it bounced back. Now I'm wondering if that's normal or if I was just being careless. Either way, I'm pretty convinced this plant is basically indestructible.
