So I've had my snake plant for about six months now and it's finally putting out a new leaf

So I've had my snake plant for about six months now and it's finally putting out a new leaf! I was honestly worried I was killing it because nothing happened for the first few months, but I read that they're just super slow and patient. I've basically been ignoring it in a corner with occasional water, and I think that's actually what it wanted. Anyone else have one of these that took forever to show signs of life?
